Roller shutter doors & curtains

A roller shutter takes more abuse than anything else on the back of a vehicle. It gets run into, forced when it is frozen, and opened and shut more times a day than any other part of the bodywork.

When one jams half open the vehicle is not going anywhere with a load in it, which puts a shutter fault in the same bracket as a lift fault even though it is a simpler thing to fix.

We supply, fit and repair vehicle roller shutters and curtain sides. Most of the time we are already at the vehicle for the lift, and doing both in one visit is the whole point — the vehicle comes off the road once.

Tail lifts, asked and answered

Do you fit shutters to vehicles without a tail lift?
Yes. It is often done alongside lift work because that is when we are there, but it is not a condition.
Can a damaged shutter be repaired, or does it need replacing?
It depends what is damaged. Slats, straps, locks and seals are routinely replaced individually. A shutter that has been badly hit or repeatedly forced is usually better replaced whole.
What about curtain sides?
Supplied and repaired — tears, straps, buckles and tensioners.
How long does a replacement take?
A straightforward shutter is a visit rather than a stay. Ring the workshop with the vehicle details and we will tell you rather than guessing here.
Do you use genuine parts?
Yes, the same rule as the lifts.
Can it be done at the same time as the service?
That is usually the sensible way to do it. One visit, one vehicle off the road, one lot of paperwork.
